The History of Frames and Things
Frames and Things was originally started as Earnest Paint and Glass, opened March 1, 1947. Owned by Carl Earnest and Myron Embrey, the store featured artist supplies and picture framing as well as paint and glass. The store was located at 109 East Baker.
After many years at that location, the store was moved to 301 Center Ave. Bob Pritchard purchased the store September 13, 1983, and changed the name to Frames and Things. The store was at that location until 1997 and was moved to the Old Bowie Theater location, 413 Center Ave.
Everyone enjoyed the frame shop at that location, sharing memories of the old theater and framing their art at the same time. Time passed and we decided in 2006 to move one more time to our present location.
We are pleased to have everyone come and see our gallery. At Frames and Things we frame it right the first time.
